Description

The York D is a refrigeration oil formulated from an AB-Alkylbenzene synthetic blend and designed to function under the stringent requirements of CFCs-Chlorofluorocarbon, HCFCs- Hydrochlorofluorocarbon refrigerants, DX, and liquid overfeed industrial refrigeration systems. It has an ISO grade of 32 and a viscosity index of 99.

The York D provides performance advantages, including partial miscibility and solubility with CFCs, HCFCs and ammonia for improved oil return to the compressor, that improves overall system effiency and higher productivity. It is engineered for use with both rotary screw and reciprocating compressors for ammonia applications.

With its versatile features, the York D is compatible with all types of seals and O-rings used in ammonia compressors including Neoprene (chloroprene), Buna-N and NBR. The York D also works with naphthenic and paraffinic mineral oils, as well as PAO and AB synthetic oils, which allows top-off over these other oils and eliminates the need for system flushes and excessive evaporator maintenance.
